ABOUT ANIMA
Anima was founded in 2022 by Dr. Lorena A. Lorenzo, a Neurocommunications professor experienced in cognitive research and with extensive experience as a professor in universities across Europe and the Middle East. Dr. Lorenzo holds a Master's in Developmental Psychology and a concentration in CBT and Existential Therapy from Oxford University (UK), and has been a speaker and panelist at various international conferences focused on Communications and psychophysiological research.
Dr Lorenzo's research on how communication and mindfulness affect people's minds and bodies inspired her to create Anima. Her unique approach combines the classic traits of existential therapy and CBT with more innovative disciplines such as neurocommunication, psychonutrition and meditation to provide clients with personalized and effective therapeutic experiences. She also organizes seminars and professional retreats and serves as an honorary director for Care Collective, a non-profit association focused on bringing psychological support to underprivileged communities.

As a consultant, she has collaborated with renowned organizations such as TED Conferences, helping speakers refine their speech and communication skills. Her articles and reports have been featured in prominent publications like Foreign Policy, Time Magazine, and El País. Her research on how communication and mindfulness affect people’s minds and bodies inspired her to kickstart the journey that has helped create the Anima community of wellbeing.
